<br />
<br />
Before posting about my wonderful weekend at Comic-Con Montréal, I feel like I should show a bit how I made the staff and the transparent shoes for my Jack Frost cosplay. I didn't make that for my Aoba cosplay (especially the jacket) and I alway get a lot of questions so I think that from now on I should explain a bit more how I make my cosplay stuff.<br />
<br />
<br />
Let's begin with the stick/staff!<br />
<br />
I made one last year for G-anime since I was cosplaying Jack Frost too back then. But unfortunately it broke a bit during the con and also completely on my bus trip... so I had to think of a way to make a sturdier one for Comic-con.<br />
<br />
<br />
Here is the <b>previous</b> version of the staff:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBsHlhUtjpzJ2m9ELpunlhbgPI9clnfuO4qJ-nZfVzuA_6WLCArWvd9in6V-Rh21BpejSXVw-JwrEVC9wGJFBQPrdAwnF3qDQeoSBrmgL1k6nYyNQ9LKi7mZc3G2U_iK7TMmFB7hnemn0/s1600/DSC05601.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBsHlhUtjpzJ2m9ELpunlhbgPI9clnfuO4qJ-nZfVzuA_6WLCArWvd9in6V-Rh21BpejSXVw-JwrEVC9wGJFBQPrdAwnF3qDQeoSBrmgL1k6nYyNQ9LKi7mZc3G2U_iK7TMmFB7hnemn0/s640/DSC05601.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And here at a shoot at the end of the con, you can see the paint peeled quite a bit on the tip:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjitKyUrK89I75czqZNkghszEP5zTTCZyxogeQxjLt54Her36cHavo4jOEARh0qHOu8if0Dj-NMi-8bkhU1ykEXmDS6Od11y18sfCtkalaJQR_21unOXCIXXLz5_XEPAxW3dv5h3ncmn2E/s1600/DRO_9235+light.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjitKyUrK89I75czqZNkghszEP5zTTCZyxogeQxjLt54Her36cHavo4jOEARh0qHOu8if0Dj-NMi-8bkhU1ykEXmDS6Od11y18sfCtkalaJQR_21unOXCIXXLz5_XEPAxW3dv5h3ncmn2E/s640/DRO_9235+light.png" width="424" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So I decided to make a new one with real wood this time to avoid it breaking and peeling that much. I asked first if it was ok with the weapon check though because I didn't want to work hard and then be refused at the entrance...<br />
<br />
I went to small woods near my appartment and picked up some sturdy branches. One already had a shape that could fit so I took it right away. I took a few smaller ones to make the curve in the staff. Then I looked awkward going back home with all those branches in my hands... but it was definitely worth it.<br />
<br />
I used a knife (I would recommend a small saw though) to cut the wood pieces the shape I wanted and then used duckt tape to hold them together. I tried hot glue and quick grip glue but nothing worked.<br />
<br />
I used green duckt tape but noticed it would show too much so I bought brown tape (it was somewhat very expensive for tape...) and retaped the top part. I also carved swirls all along the staff with a knife, I think it is what took the most time.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZOgzupivfyroMlmFPedhk78dK12gYY-4LZXPi4IhgRiWpLlMbA6M6rsqia6GCXQ51zqkqVpXuhD9DZSVdaCNuH8kGhKiiv7COK42Foz5LYChdmRV6Dz-FK7Xyi72VvKBnx0oDXAwj8Yw/s1600/DSC06906.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZOgzupivfyroMlmFPedhk78dK12gYY-4LZXPi4IhgRiWpLlMbA6M6rsqia6GCXQ51zqkqVpXuhD9DZSVdaCNuH8kGhKiiv7COK42Foz5LYChdmRV6Dz-FK7Xyi72VvKBnx0oDXAwj8Yw/s640/DSC06906.JPG" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
After that I mixed paint to get a light blue and began to paint in the carved swirls. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZpJC-FXmFf8LhZxqd7lJGnCudTQ9TRAiacJR3iPIhai31Ho8qEuHTfvovRmcO1FUXxFXY3OHySbtMnLyosi2rM-WF1jsWYwrNPuNvV6ap3ojBM9yuN7ARHzb1349mqqky_Y16xEfPF4A/s1600/DSC06908.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiZpJC-FXmFf8LhZxqd7lJGnCudTQ9TRAiacJR3iPIhai31Ho8qEuHTfvovRmcO1FUXxFXY3OHySbtMnLyosi2rM-WF1jsWYwrNPuNvV6ap3ojBM9yuN7ARHzb1349mqqky_Y16xEfPF4A/s640/DSC06908.JPG" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
And improvised for the taped part since it wasn't carved. I also used brown paint to cover the tape since it wasn't the same brown as the wood. I tried to match the color the most I could.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSrPmo5Dccp5YQPupP5W8VNCQ1hXFib81YShRXSdtjurF1d1Ra7a8PmZlguu25632f9Vu3wklQgVJxMWSXJ8Y-ToYoCZjaDaNJdig1VKBCDrSh1nOogyNxk1t4Et700uBidVXAM2iM1LY/s1600/DSC06909.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSrPmo5Dccp5YQPupP5W8VNCQ1hXFib81YShRXSdtjurF1d1Ra7a8PmZlguu25632f9Vu3wklQgVJxMWSXJ8Y-ToYoCZjaDaNJdig1VKBCDrSh1nOogyNxk1t4Et700uBidVXAM2iM1LY/s640/DSC06909.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I then used a sponge and white paint to apply the 'snow' on the staff. For the 'magic ice' I used light blue glitter glue that I applied in the carvings and regular glitter that I sprayed about everywhere possible (even on the floor and the cat...).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp9u8dvRbZ5c3fKp5XO5rA76eIZEnLgHmlCqLWkvz1yYSi6OKq36zUIOiYXF3sIk-3gU3mZy2z9JPVeRkneUfpxIdGLc90ZUP1ugjHQOwmgAbJApWQ8PtLTBnKabmc0G2xDS2FYa3ojn4/s1600/DSC06919.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp9u8dvRbZ5c3fKp5XO5rA76eIZEnLgHmlCqLWkvz1yYSi6OKq36zUIOiYXF3sIk-3gU3mZy2z9JPVeRkneUfpxIdGLc90ZUP1ugjHQOwmgAbJApWQ8PtLTBnKabmc0G2xDS2FYa3ojn4/s640/DSC06919.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
I took some pictures to compare both the old and the new staff. The old is on the left and the new on the right.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht8ZyYck-DFGHqo_iFH6eOHpomME-uWtvI20Hi-GRzRitA0hGr2WYz1DS0vFU7rJaAVRt6aDHNllIdOGR6b8pRXQtWBnhyWSP-0ZvdDtDxv2emjs6Ez-emcsQwZHoqpvMzcCYpgeQ-f4Q/s1600/DSC06923.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht8ZyYck-DFGHqo_iFH6eOHpomME-uWtvI20Hi-GRzRitA0hGr2WYz1DS0vFU7rJaAVRt6aDHNllIdOGR6b8pRXQtWBnhyWSP-0ZvdDtDxv2emjs6Ez-emcsQwZHoqpvMzcCYpgeQ-f4Q/s640/DSC06923.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see the paint cracked a lot on the old one. It didn't crack on the new one, except a bit on the part with the duckt tape but it is easy to repair with a bit of white paint. <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxySbpRnI46SmZbcYQrzxuE7QK2-G18pmnX30xuAvo8fX9oaH4wMTFil8yelRGhCo5EQQ_Hii-G3TzhcgwCMZo-Y_5vjzssZpsk8nr7zMZkZVSNpVYBivuqF9pQCAYzxaCfKlkZVBVYLc/s1600/DSC06926.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxySbpRnI46SmZbcYQrzxuE7QK2-G18pmnX30xuAvo8fX9oaH4wMTFil8yelRGhCo5EQQ_Hii-G3TzhcgwCMZo-Y_5vjzssZpsk8nr7zMZkZVSNpVYBivuqF9pQCAYzxaCfKlkZVBVYLc/s640/DSC06926.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The old one was taller, but broke at the bottom. The new one still is taller than what the old one was when it was still intact. I would say the new one is about 2 meters high.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
That's enough staff pictures for now!<br />
<br />
<br />
I don't have much pictures on the transparent shoes, but I do have a link to the original tutorial! It is really useful for all the cosplays where the character doesn't wear any shoe.<br />
<a href="http://andsewingishalfthebattle.com/invisible-shoes">http://andsewingishalfthebattle.com/invisible-shoes</a><br />
<br />
<br />
Mine didn't turn out exactly as hers, but they still did the job. People were really thinking I wasn't wearing anything and thought I was crazy!<br />
<br />
I won't repeat everything from the tutorial above, but I'll still talk about the basic stuff.<br />
To make those invisible shoes, you just need a transparent sole, some stretchy net fabric and a marker that fits your skin tone. You basically just need to sew the fabric straps to the sole where your second toe and middle of your foot are, and tadaa!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqLfIhFao9U0LIKOoV4jhD_m9qk-HZ8Se4p4uXMPs_HIwSNkqbfnkgC3GQQzl01awuJq9tewk_1CleliBT991TC7m7VM37_4KAdPcpyiLD2XorSIYpnBpA-yggpyaOYka-gxkLgPfIA2s/s1600/DSC06971.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjqLfIhFao9U0LIKOoV4jhD_m9qk-HZ8Se4p4uXMPs_HIwSNkqbfnkgC3GQQzl01awuJq9tewk_1CleliBT991TC7m7VM37_4KAdPcpyiLD2XorSIYpnBpA-yggpyaOYka-gxkLgPfIA2s/s640/DSC06971.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
You need to be sure of where to sew the straps though because mine were a bit loose at times... I didn't do the marking step and really should've!<br />
<br />
<br />
That's mostly it for the staff and invisible shoes tutorial. Hope it helped!<br />
<br />
Next up should be my Comic con recap. Also I have enough material to make a tutorial for the lights in my Rin cosplay, maybe I'll do that if you are interested.<br />

I'm a bit late with this post. but I was very busy lately so I can only post this now sorry ;^^<br />
<br />
So this goes back to mid-august. My friends and I went to the biggest anime convention around here, Otakuthon. It is our 5th time going there!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.otakuthon.com/2013res/img/2013_wallpaper01_1920x1200.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://www.otakuthon.com/2013res/img/2013_wallpaper01_1920x1200.jpg" width="640" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
As usual it was very awesome and we had a lot of fun. We met new people and took a lot of picture. I don't remember that much what we did exactly during those 3 days. But I'll try to remember the best I can!<br />
<br />
Here was my cosplay list for the convention:<br />

<b>Friday</b><br />
So as usual my friend came to my appartment on Friday and we hurried a bit to get dressed in time. She was cosplaying Mephistos Pheles, also from Ao no exorcist so we had a lot of ears and various things to stick to our heads XD It took quite some time and spirit gum to make her beard stick correctly. After tediously dressing up, we were finally able to head out!<br />
<br />
We arrived a bit earlier, so none of our friends were there yet. Fortunately we were asked for some pictures so we were still pretty busy. The convention was only starting at 5 PM on Friday so we got a lot of time to take pictures and search for people.<br />
<br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Finally we were able to meet with our friends and eat a little something together before the convention began.</div>

Afterwards we went shopping when the dealers room openned. I didn't buy much that day... except a beaded scott pilgrim thingy... along with a bonus beaded moustache... one of my friend decided to buy a moustache too... which led to this of course!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Friday ended very fast. We were exhausted too so we went to sleep almost early. But then I couldn't stop thinking about how to improve the lights in my sword... so I got up at 3 AM and arranged my sword. It was kinda necessary... you'll see in the next pictures!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<b>Saturday</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Saturday is always the big day! This time we got to take other cosplayers in photo and to attend a few pannels and projections too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
The battery pack on my tail kept falling of so I took a new one and re-wraped it around the tip of the tail. I also bought new batteries... it really made a huge difference between the new batteries and the ones from the dollar store. The lights were a lot more appearent! So I wraped everything together during the subway trip; it was really funny to see people look at us because of it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
Subday was kinda slow and calm. We didn't really take any pictures. The only ones I have are from other people who took pictures of my Aoba cosplay. I know I talked about the work in progress on it so I feel that I have to show how it looked a bit.</div>
<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
It was a bit painful to wear because the boot covers kept wanting to fall appart and I had to see one of the jacket's buttons back on too... so it needs a bit more work on it I guess...<br />
<br />
In the end we went upstairs to eat and relax. While being seated I spotted someone with the same wig as I. The whole time I was wondering if someone else was cosplaying Aoba... I was so happy to find out that yes, they were!<br />
<br />We took a picture together of course!<br />

<br />
I've been dojng crossplay for a lot of years now and something always got in the way. You know where I'm going right? That's right, breasts are quite a big problem when it comes to crossplay.<br />
<br />
When I began crossplay (well at the same time that I began cosplay actually) I only used a swimming suit top with a tie wrap... it somehow worked because I had smaller breast and was wearing a lot of layers of clothes. But as the years went by I noticed that my breasts were still very appearant despite the swimsuit top.<br />
<br />
Last year at G-anime I tried binding my breasts with bandages for the first time and it was quite painful, considering that I have asthma. Of course, after a few minutes I could forget the bandages, but they kept falling appart and my friend had to help me put them on in the first place. It wasn't really reliable and not as effective as what I wished it would've been.<br />
<br />
I didn't see myself putting on bandages again for Otakuthon this summer, with the heat and all... so I went on the internet to search for more effective ways. I came accross something very interesting. People were talking about compression shirts. I went to see pictures and reviews to get a good idea of what it is.<br />
<br />
People were talking mainly about 2 websites.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.t-kingdom.com/">T-Kingdom</a><br />
and<br />
<a href="http://www.underworks.com/">Underworks</a><br />
<br />
The first one would be for girls with smaller breasts and the second one is technically supposed to be for men.<br />
<br />
I chose to use the latter since I don't really have small breasts and the compression vest from T-Kingdom wouldn't work very well on me it seems.<br />
<br />
So I ordered last week from underworks. My package arrived in approximately 4 days, regardless of the weekend via DHL. I hate DHL but since I was home today everything was fine and I was there to get my package.<br />
<br />
The model I ordered is the tri-top chest binder in the nude color. It cost about 29$ plus something like 15-17$ shipping (why is shipping to Canada always so expensive???). <br />
<br />
Here's what the shirt looks like (it's more of a camisole really).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCco-6Vqb31CIK8OzX8drHnhgSXfgVVkAed4KMYQ5ch_gIs16w1cjLwyLv9WBpE5Ty9rNH4EwuP96SLiYnf5CQ2-xFMl_9TTTh3Hn5uHCT8d_PgkEXUpOArcFisBGtC8jzhAvNdV879Ok/s1600/DSC06017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCco-6Vqb31CIK8OzX8drHnhgSXfgVVkAed4KMYQ5ch_gIs16w1cjLwyLv9WBpE5Ty9rNH4EwuP96SLiYnf5CQ2-xFMl_9TTTh3Hn5uHCT8d_PgkEXUpOArcFisBGtC8jzhAvNdV879Ok/s640/DSC06017.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And here's the miracle it can accomplish! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhczg_4oWG6WPlmVJyCvH-GVjgyTPB2JkIKV_XrF3IHDeEfHdq7iAOI0oC1gUBOsqZDZIQiqBpAKL2yXw1oo_bSbAKsx1PR4OAARNwAVxPIKKOR3Ps6fHlFIK0l7eGUh2gULiwzkulAZoA/s1600/compression+shirt.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhczg_4oWG6WPlmVJyCvH-GVjgyTPB2JkIKV_XrF3IHDeEfHdq7iAOI0oC1gUBOsqZDZIQiqBpAKL2yXw1oo_bSbAKsx1PR4OAARNwAVxPIKKOR3Ps6fHlFIK0l7eGUh2gULiwzkulAZoA/s640/compression+shirt.png" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I do have pictures without my shirt on but, well, I'm not too sure about showing this on the internet XD But basically it looks as if I actually had abs. If I decided to paint the camisole to make it appear more muscular it would be great for an open chest crossplay really, especially because of the nude color and the shape it gives to my breasts.<br />
<br />
It is hard to put on as it is very tight, but once it's on you forget about it very soon. Mine may be a bit too tight under the arms but I am loosing weight at the moment so it will fit me when the time of my next cosplay event comes.<br />
<br />
Overall I'm really happy with my purchase and it will definitely be useful in the near future and for many years.<br />

<br />
I received those lovely figures the day after I finished my cosplay for Aoba. I wanted to wait a bit and take more pictures before reviewing them though.<br />
<br />
I ordered both of them on <a href="http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/">Hobbysearch</a>. They weren't supposed to be released together but I was unlucky enough for it to happen. Anyways I'm still happy to have them by my side now, though my wallet is very unhappy XD<br />
<br />
I preordered them to be sure I'd get them as soon as they were released. It's the kind of items you need to preorder if you want one, they often sell out on the day of release.<br />
<br />
Aoba was around (in USD) 120 and Jude was around 70. Shipping by EMS cost about 50. The total was still pretty affordable, but I got custom fees, of course! So it ended up being a bit pricy :/<br />
<br />
EMS shipping was very fast and Hobbysearch only took a day or 2 to send out my parcel. I was one of the first to receive Jude I think since I got the chance to post a picture before everyone else. <br />
<br />
On to the review now!<br />
<br />
Hobbysearch had packed both figures very tightly and securely. The box was pretty big too because of the size of Aoba's box.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiifupZC7fCrQ-hIiRhv77-0NklteFtEnb6xbXkEdBQFVm2JXc9x9K9VMoh9hMb5a4VSLSY15m80TSaX_cHA50kUPrTjiyKaGoM1lKQmQ6TI-GP9wHuzx3-IOzZbmWNAB0E0UpAOJUftRE/s1600/DSC05901.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiifupZC7fCrQ-hIiRhv77-0NklteFtEnb6xbXkEdBQFVm2JXc9x9K9VMoh9hMb5a4VSLSY15m80TSaX_cHA50kUPrTjiyKaGoM1lKQmQ6TI-GP9wHuzx3-IOzZbmWNAB0E0UpAOJUftRE/s640/DSC05901.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
You can compare them pretty well here.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU2ihtxw-6oucYlF93803mwvDUwve51oI2GlNXRZFhVfGIgXYbW058Z4qx3LWHheMfDiyrMEZKDirx0f-ANE8zciQU5fk-d1rMTvmKoOfaSuFDTEg87O4_xjBHc2lo2iY5cfnH1klz-Nw/s1600/DSC05905.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU2ihtxw-6oucYlF93803mwvDUwve51oI2GlNXRZFhVfGIgXYbW058Z4qx3LWHheMfDiyrMEZKDirx0f-ANE8zciQU5fk-d1rMTvmKoOfaSuFDTEg87O4_xjBHc2lo2iY5cfnH1klz-Nw/s640/DSC05905.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So let's begin with Aoba.<br />
It came unassembled, pretty much the same as every other figure I got so far. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjohyphenhyphenJJ1DLPjLvU4alXc9_Qgun2_yqHgyOwh5MlKsWuRhxPVxf2SLBYVoBQXtb18RuRP3GM_QcnNCH3tYpwEUzKVCZvn074og8FCNqGZUVyraRvs23l3z2Zznmo-CKWIGH8nd16WeEtJM/s1600/DSC05907.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjohyphenhyphenJJ1DLPjLvU4alXc9_Qgun2_yqHgyOwh5MlKsWuRhxPVxf2SLBYVoBQXtb18RuRP3GM_QcnNCH3tYpwEUzKVCZvn074og8FCNqGZUVyraRvs23l3z2Zznmo-CKWIGH8nd16WeEtJM/s640/DSC05907.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My worst enemy!!! <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyGpc7c1bOAfAg3c10NykOGqtznvgpJCKrCOFNC81XHQyYfOAcM6yW2i_wg2YHXP5YcR4q667k5lPlniab_a5T7euu6gunQM-oFxl-0ftIu_nmfByFDZYsmwyEuodgzJlchOjcA84O5-I/s1600/DSC05908.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyGpc7c1bOAfAg3c10NykOGqtznvgpJCKrCOFNC81XHQyYfOAcM6yW2i_wg2YHXP5YcR4q667k5lPlniab_a5T7euu6gunQM-oFxl-0ftIu_nmfByFDZYsmwyEuodgzJlchOjcA84O5-I/s640/DSC05908.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
The base was a pain to assemble. The figure is really fragile. I say that because I actually scratched the base pretty bad in 2 places even though I was VERY careful... I feel so bad now. But I found a tutorial on how to repaint it fortunately.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg02LEj7HDsu09W-j1K_tlXDzLUt7npmmGB4wOtvr2q17pp2oAe8-41rq3pHmKPy2gouaBpeZoVw-sYxRADOJZmNyUD2uRFxnoMQqfNIHKmzNZIwk5iUjanQJ-hmyMOQjmucfHORn7sY6E/s1600/DSC05910.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg02LEj7HDsu09W-j1K_tlXDzLUt7npmmGB4wOtvr2q17pp2oAe8-41rq3pHmKPy2gouaBpeZoVw-sYxRADOJZmNyUD2uRFxnoMQqfNIHKmzNZIwk5iUjanQJ-hmyMOQjmucfHORn7sY6E/s640/DSC05910.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Aoba looks funny like that...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4OKXkSn2ng_4K44dPXPBxB-hp1wxhJcLoFWLAAgtZ7tC714fgu5fmxhvDR6KA0UOiTRDxqPZP0p2LFu61Y1M_o06emmpVFtlUWry_NVCZQZbIt3anLlDOkoSfWV4qzHCWHuIdqQG8pRI/s1600/DSC05911.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4OKXkSn2ng_4K44dPXPBxB-hp1wxhJcLoFWLAAgtZ7tC714fgu5fmxhvDR6KA0UOiTRDxqPZP0p2LFu61Y1M_o06emmpVFtlUWry_NVCZQZbIt3anLlDOkoSfWV4qzHCWHuIdqQG8pRI/s640/DSC05911.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
What it looks like once assembled! I really like the pose, it's so original compared to the other figures where the character is just standing there... doing pretty much nothing. I also like the fact that there is one object for every character of the game on the stand. The umbrellas for Clear, the green blocks for Noiz, the birds for Koujaku and the pipe for Mink.... and Ren is also there in his allmate form. What else can we ask of a figure???<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
A close up of the side of Aboa's head. There's so many details, you can clearly read what is written on the headphones. And the logo on his sleeve looks great too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKLIZgzFrsgkmFw9fTeK2o1POFdbLGRAtymmf3yDzPjxKelJAsYMYrTIlHphC5ySNb5g3cujUzqaUNcVanej38HhF_3ZAz-nBlXo6gLOHgJEuY60gxrnuV3QqAflnqnaQAtze7bdkE5IY/s1600/DSC05923.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKLIZgzFrsgkmFw9fTeK2o1POFdbLGRAtymmf3yDzPjxKelJAsYMYrTIlHphC5ySNb5g3cujUzqaUNcVanej38HhF_3ZAz-nBlXo6gLOHgJEuY60gxrnuV3QqAflnqnaQAtze7bdkE5IY/s640/DSC05923.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
A close up of Ren. He is so cute! The figure also came with a bonus Ren keychain, I left it hanging of one of the chains of the base, I think you can see it on one of the pictures above.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogInIH8rzka1oH-Bhgfdk5gYQRTKNi-4qyQj4bqYZjTCDcTVugz88wxf8UM3YabVLGH5TCPlHClIjQJtTHMmvBkP-Pr2436CAS0se67-fNqjXLzH0JSAW9DPIZR6yIvA55fDGFuYX8dM/s1600/DSC05953.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhogInIH8rzka1oH-Bhgfdk5gYQRTKNi-4qyQj4bqYZjTCDcTVugz88wxf8UM3YabVLGH5TCPlHClIjQJtTHMmvBkP-Pr2436CAS0se67-fNqjXLzH0JSAW9DPIZR6yIvA55fDGFuYX8dM/s640/DSC05953.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And one last close-up to finish his review.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNntkcTzZHag8eooboaYNeekwVnuAkBPQ5i8DoG4eW9zrgBDzsZFO6ZwU62-b_GgMqnAvV7jwC-2T9rcLXp8PLq-Qa_w9u3N_7_zMgqd_R5rk6fNfYU7Q54qVP_opoeAhX2skkuln7Ttg/s1600/DSC05956.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNntkcTzZHag8eooboaYNeekwVnuAkBPQ5i8DoG4eW9zrgBDzsZFO6ZwU62-b_GgMqnAvV7jwC-2T9rcLXp8PLq-Qa_w9u3N_7_zMgqd_R5rk6fNfYU7Q54qVP_opoeAhX2skkuln7Ttg/s640/DSC05956.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So overall I really like the figure. I wish it would be bigger... I know it is already really big (around 30 cm with the base), but I would love if it could be the center of attention of my collection. The figure is really detailed and very accurate too. Every single detail is there. It really was worth the price. While it was more expensive than ultimate Madoka, I still don't regret choosing him over her, especially considering that he is sold out everywhere at the moment while she's not.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Now it's Jude's turn!<br />
I haven't played the game yet since it is not released here. But I've seen enough footage of the game to know what he is supposed to be like.<br />
<br />
This figure is pretty small compared to Aoba. Only 15 cm with the base. There were rumors that the painting job was messy. Some reviews indeed showed paint bleed and scuffs. But I got mine at the same time as the reviews came out so I didn't have time to become nervous. In the end the figure came out pretty well. Sure there are some minor imperfections, but nothing like what I saw in the reviews.<br />
<br />
So this is the box. It looks really nice.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeJXyjnL2Lpb79buYT9KDEhu6PR5DY-87UE6gGcRs24IYguLtg3DYV3DhMDFCfQ7rdaHoo574p30PqcA3B4S3WRmI6NUeRiGY1bQQj2RoOFgyU3nw3YpAz-B2o0kP-UCSp4j8HexxtgHU/s1600/DSC05926.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjeJXyjnL2Lpb79buYT9KDEhu6PR5DY-87UE6gGcRs24IYguLtg3DYV3DhMDFCfQ7rdaHoo574p30PqcA3B4S3WRmI6NUeRiGY1bQQj2RoOFgyU3nw3YpAz-B2o0kP-UCSp4j8HexxtgHU/s640/DSC05926.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
There was nothing to assemble apart from putting the figure onto base. It wasn't really difficult.<br />
He looks like this from the front (say hi to Jake in the background!).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEistfVdv1zQnkuS6Xr_DaX0zivd6GrxPj-7nZkv8YbJGDPnTVScBU2frEhCfkbjfm4-yVeNhp4ZozH28pmYDqXcIZqAkiFR59gzeyfOHPAocnpn888SVsak9Afn189cvVoGET33nVUtTGA/s1600/DSC05942.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEistfVdv1zQnkuS6Xr_DaX0zivd6GrxPj-7nZkv8YbJGDPnTVScBU2frEhCfkbjfm4-yVeNhp4ZozH28pmYDqXcIZqAkiFR59gzeyfOHPAocnpn888SVsak9Afn189cvVoGET33nVUtTGA/s640/DSC05942.JPG" width="360" /> </a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Here's a close-up of his face. Sorry for the dust, the sun was very strong and there was a lot of it in the air.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXUq3ECF2vBz_k7xWIz0lei_2jh02af_3qOFm0-tpVXkVsdPVdu6d3mZbwdDMGRr5OWq2D3XMWUeZcP_0Wg_M_Em7zK7g7P7Axj0fXkYWfbPpZCJbZSjqD9tw9HRWdbQir3Fm1sIZXm0U/s1600/DSC05965.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXUq3ECF2vBz_k7xWIz0lei_2jh02af_3qOFm0-tpVXkVsdPVdu6d3mZbwdDMGRr5OWq2D3XMWUeZcP_0Wg_M_Em7zK7g7P7Axj0fXkYWfbPpZCJbZSjqD9tw9HRWdbQir3Fm1sIZXm0U/s640/DSC05965.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
And here's the back. I like the flow of his coat, it looks dynamic. The stand is pretty too, there are some kind of bubbles in it to make it look like there are magic sparkles on it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihgBLfpxB5bZwz7drbLSerHZOnz-KxSjF52uupuQjShifkY0NsEUsuW3BgwxPIv_V-8p_6gKdExW3mLX7gLdyyAOq-MKZivAJEs2D5W1-GKA1hgggi74UMprcW9OV7IJx0AXDBmXVmoow/s1600/DSC05971.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEihgBLfpxB5bZwz7drbLSerHZOnz-KxSjF52uupuQjShifkY0NsEUsuW3BgwxPIv_V-8p_6gKdExW3mLX7gLdyyAOq-MKZivAJEs2D5W1-GKA1hgggi74UMprcW9OV7IJx0AXDBmXVmoow/s640/DSC05971.JPG" width="360" /></a></div>
<br />
Overall I like this figure too, but compared to Aoba it,s a bit disapointing. This one was pretty expensive for a 15 cm figure. But at least it is well done and the pose is great. I don't regret buying it either.<br />
<br />
Finally, here's what they both look like compared to all my other figures (well most of them). It's quite crowded now... I can't wait to move to our new appartment and buy a glass display for them all. I have 2 Yu-gi-oh figures that don't fit on the shelf since they are even bigger than Inuyasha!<br />
<br />

<br />
I just finished the jacket for my Aoba cosplay and wanted to share a few pictures I have. I did tkae some photos during the project, but we mostly took pictures at the end because my friend needed them for a school project.<br />
<br />
This jacket took around 2 months to make, on and off because I was busy with other things.<br />
It is made from spandex (white fabric) and strong coton (blue). I used kodel to make it very puffy and comfortable. I,m far from being a professinal so the finition is very ugly if you look inside... but from the outside I guess it looks good enough.<br />
<br />
I don't have a step by step, but here are some pictures I took during the work in progress. <br />
<br />
<br />
I first began with a pattern I bought where I work. I used a hoodie pattern from Burda. The sizes were pretty decent compared to some other pattern companies so I didn't have much to adjust.<br />
<br />
I made the sleeves first since there was more than one color and they were pretty hard to sew. The color pattern wasn't easy either. It took me 4 sleeves to get 2 that looked ok. Spandex is hard to sew with precision.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLKmw5r5V-AhHqNPGIP8X6TqDyWBY_tzN5gddp9YQgb8UGMvdVBtQxVot8ovSrTG-q8l3EhF1LrHLhADKqmupdDRQQxaVjYqyDroG_7Kwq7nFlPmNILcJfbLO0224kME5b7hVzmBfO_nk/s1600/DSC05704.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="360" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLKmw5r5V-AhHqNPGIP8X6TqDyWBY_tzN5gddp9YQgb8UGMvdVBtQxVot8ovSrTG-q8l3EhF1LrHLhADKqmupdDRQQxaVjYqyDroG_7Kwq7nFlPmNILcJfbLO0224kME5b7hVzmBfO_nk/s640/DSC05704.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
When I had the sleeves down, I began to make the logo. I finished the other sleeve first but couldn't complete the other one until the logo was finished. It did take more than a week since I don't really know how to use machine embrodery.<br />
<br />

Finally it was almost done!<br />

<br />
This is what the cosplay looked like when I was almost done with the logo. I worked on the rest too to make sure I wouldn't be too late (I was supposed to finish it in 3 weeks).<br />
<br />

<br />
Almost there! I only missed the buttons (which I needed to cover with vinyl, paint and polish).<br />

<br />
Finally it was... almost done. I had forgotten the pockets and stayed up late at night to put them on before the photoshoot, which was the day after. <br />

<br />
There! Now it is done! I couldn't get the collar to stay, even with the advices of my collegues. In the end I think it's still fine. I cover the seams when I get the chance to get the jacket back (it is exposed in the store where I work).<br />

I guess this is the most interesting part! We went to take some pictures in a nearby park. It was a very windy afternoon, but also very sunny. We had a lot of fun! My friend was wearing her Sion Astal cosplay.<br />

I can't wait to make the boots. The belt, and the shirt have been bought already. What will be left in the end are the contact lenses and the headphones.<br />
<br />
I'll post an update when the cosplay is really finished.<br />

<br />
So for my first real post I decided to review the nendoroid petit I received a few days ago from the anime Uta no Prince sama.<br />
<br />
I had been seeing them on ebay for a while now but due to their high price I was hesitant. I wanted to buy the whole set. not only one of the figures. So after searching for a while I found a website that was selling a box of 8 figures for around 70-80 bucks. I found it fair since on ebay they are 30$ each, which is way too overpriced.<br />
<br />
The website I used to buy the nendoroids is <a href="http://nippon-yasan.com./">Nippon-Yasan.com.</a><br />
I had never used that website before so I was a bit nervous. The reviews were kinda mixed but the bad ones were almost always about pre-orders, which was not the case of what I wanted to buy. I gave it a try and chose the SAL shipping method to avoid high costs.<br />
<br />
SAL method is supposed to be slow but it only took around a week and a half before I received the figures. The parcel was tracked too, which is always reassuring.<br />
<br />
On to the actual product now!<br />
The box was packed in a very secure way.<br />

The Uta no prince sama nendoroid come as a box of 8 figures. I heard that you always get all models in one box, but there could be exceptions.<br />

There was supposed to be 6 characters but, to my surprise, there was a bonus character. I was very pleased with that. Each character comes with a small stand, which was a pain to assemble. But once you get the hang out of it, it's not that bad. I almost broke the first stand I assembled, but since I have an extra nendoroid, I could use his stand to compensate for my failure. They are approximately 7cm each including the base.<br />
<br />
Here are some pictures to show how cute and well made these nendoroid petit are! I'm very pleased with the amount of details. Some of the characters even came with accessories.<br />
<br />
From left to right:<br />
Masato and Otoya<br />

I got and extra Masato as the additional character of the box. I'll probably end up giving it to a friend.<br />

<br />
While my favorite character is Otoya, my favorite figure is Natsuki... his glasses are just too cute!<br />
<br />
<br />
Overall, this product is well worth the price. I'm just a beginner at collecting figures, but I'd say these are a nice addition to any collection.<br />
<br />
<br />
I hope you liked the review!<br />

<br />
Before posting anything, I feel like I need to explain a bit what this blog is about.<br />
I already have a blog to my name about the lolita fashion, but since cosplay ,anime and video games aren't really related with that, I felt like starting a new blog to talk about those subjects.<br />
<br />
I've been cosplaying for almost 5 years now and I love to share stories and pictures I take at the various conventions I attend. So this blog will be the place where I'll share everything cosplay related.<br />
<br />
I'll also review anime, manga, video games and products I buy.<br />
<br />
I hope this blog will be useful and entertaining for you guys!<br />
Please enjoy your visit!Kineraihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11631850100410267971noreply@blogger.com0
